NOT Online.”
Led by Sharron Rosedahl Not everything in the realm of genealogy is on line – by a
long shot. Our favorite genealogy web sites add thousands of records every week, and sometimes more
frequently. And what does that mean for us. Roughly, and briefly – we need to visit libraries, and
county record homes, and churches, and other family members. At the College Station Water

October 19, 2018 - Statewide Genealogical Lock in - The celebration of October as Family History Month, the Franklin County Genealogical Society will join the Genealogy Network of Texas (GNT) for a collaborative event on the Third Friday in October (10-19-18) from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. The GNT is a state-wide initiative to connect libraries and provide educational and research opportunities and is spearheaded by the Waco-McLennan County Library. The GNT will provide a series of eight live streamed programs with up-to-date topics accessible at Franklin County Genealogical Society. These programs are live webinars and are not taped. The speaker is presenting live via electronics. FCGS Library will be open during this event for research. There is no charge for this webinar and you may choose one or all of the topics.
Location of the webinar will be in our newly remodeled Crescent Building at 108 E Main St, Mt Vernon, Texas.
Bring a sack lunch, and dinner break will be from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM. There are local eateries close by. We would ask that you call FCGS and reserve your seat.

Ramblers member, Jane Magill. Jane will show us how the combination of DNA-matching and
