June 20 , 2018 - Tips on using RootsMagic with Family TreeMaker (& more) Part 2 Darrell Davis leading (follow up on January meeting) In January, Darrell gave us a blast of information - more than we were able to handle in one session. Not only was the information great, but we need another session to digest it all. Basically, Darrell uses RootsMagic and Family TreeMaker to do his research and feeds that information to compile his family history into his Ancestry.com account. More of the fantastic information Darrell has gathered, and how he puts it all together. AT the College Station Water Treatment Plant, 9:30 a.m. Contact Jerry Markowich for more information. June 27 , 2018 - Ramblers General Meeting: “The Newton Family” Our presenter, Dr. Ron Newton, has a most interesting story to share! He's one of 20 children, (he's one of a set of triplets), grew up in a small Colorado town, played basketball, taught at A&M for over 30 years in the Biology Department and researched the Newton family history ..... among other things. Family 'get-togethers' number over a hundred people! He's an author and lecturer. You won't want to miss his presentation. He will bring copies of two books that he has authored that you may purchase and have autographed after the meeting. (9:30 a.m., AT A&M United Methodist Church)
