Obituaries:

The staff at Carnegie History Center in Bryan, Texas is abstracting information from "The Eagle" where you may find obituaries online from April 2000 to the present. The Index of Obituaries for 2006 was prepared by Dan Castillo, member of Research Ramblers. The current year is also being indexed by Dan Castillo. An Index for prior years is being prepared by various members of Research Ramblers. You may search the following lists and then possibly find the obituary on the links below.

Tip: When researching on the links to "The Eagle", type in the full name in the search box and enclose the name in quotes, i.e. "John Smith".

Obituaries more than two years old are also archived on microfilm at the Bryan Public Library. When researching someone in the index after the obituaries have been moved to the Bryan Library, the researcher can ascertain a newspaper date to look up.
